Phony Congress

“I offer my opponents a bargain: If they will stop telling lies about us, I will stop telling the truth about them.”
– Adlai Stevenson
Breaking news: Rush Limbaugh loathes the military. Okay, okay, you can stop laughing now. This “phony soldiers” story is just fascinating, considering that the world, according to our Democrat politicians, is such a terrible place. And not because of the “imaginary” terror threat, but because George W. Bush, in six short years, has completely destroyed the country. Our economy is in the tank, Americans have lost their homes and are living under viaducts, adults and children alike are denied basic healthcare and are dying in the streets, and worst of all there are still people smoking tobacco in public. How can we stand by and let this happen?
Well, as Clarence Thomas would say, this is silliness. Silliness. Once again, the Do-Nothing Party is demonstrating how ineffective they are in stopping, as they like to describe it, George Bush’s war, and how adept they are at wasting time and tax dollars by attacking that lovable little fuzzball, Rush Limbaugh.
This is actually fun to watch because it’s such a transparent attempt to silence the voices of reason. With so much going “wrong” in the world, shouldn’t the new Congress and the 2008 Democrat candidates be looking for solutions to our innumerable problems?
Obviously not. And now the good news. Despite all the conservative and pseudo-conservative radio talk show hosts who have careers precisely because of Rush, this is proof positive that Rush, after all these years, is still relevant.
Not too bad for a big fat, deaf, dope fiend idiot. (The Left’s portrayal, not mine.) One can only hope this “controversy” not only boosts E.I.B. ratings, but exposes the real goldbrickers on the Hill.
